Abstract Background and objectives. Football is a popular sport with a large following. Motivation is a key factor in an athlete’s success in winning matches or achieving sports milestones. However, intense emotions and turmoil can disrupt an athlete’s performance, making motivation essential to regain focus. Therefore, this study aims to examine the relationship between emotions and achievement motivation in football athletes. Materials and methods. This research was conducted with quantitative methods. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling, resulting in a sample of 25 male Student Activity Unit (UKM) football players aged 19–24. Results. The research concluded a negative relationship between emotions and achievement motivation in football athletes. The correlation coefficient obtained was −0.440, indicating a negative correlation. Conclusions. In other words, as boredom levels increase, achievement motivation in football athletes decreases, and conversely, lower boredom levels are associated with higher motivation.

Abstract
This study aims to investigate the intricate connections between physical fitness, cognitive performance, and emotional well-being among senior high school students. The objective is to gain a detailed understanding of the potential effects of organised physical fitness programmes in an educational setting. The main goal is to investigate the relationships between distinct aspects of physical fitness, including cardiovascular fitness, strength, and flexibility, and their impact on cognitive and emotional outcomes. To achieve these goals, a purposive sampling technique was used to choose 33 senior high school students. The selection process took into account criteria such as age, gender, and educational background to ensure varied representation. Participants engaged in a carefully planned and organised physical fitness programme that included aerobic workouts, strength training, and flexibility routines. The programme was consistently implemented in a controlled atmosphere. Preliminary evaluations of physical fitness, cognitive capacities, and emotional welfare were carried out before the intervention, setting a benchmark for further studies. The pre- and post-intervention evaluations encompassed standardised assessments of cognitive ability, physical fitness measurements (including cardiovascular fitness, strength, and flexibility), and self-report questionnaires measuring emotional well-being. Statistical techniques, such as paired-sample t-tests and correlation analyses, were used to detect significant changes and relationships. The findings demonstrated substantial enhancements in memory capacity, attention span, and problem-solving abilities following the training. Participants demonstrated improved cardiovascular fitness, strength, and flexibility, indicating favable physical results. The self-reported emotional well-being showed a significant augmentation. Correlation analyses revealed significant connections between cardiovascular fitness and memory capacity, strength and attention span, flexibility, and problem-solving skills, indicating complex connections between physical fitness and cognitive function. Moreover, notable associations were seen among cardiovascular fitness, strength, flexibility, and emotional well-being, underscoring the potential psychosomatic advantages of well-organised physical training programmes.

Abstract
The current condition of futsal athletes’ playing techniques cannot be known completely and this also takes time for coaches to measure the techniques one by one. This study is a development study which carried out in several scientific steps, to determine overall techniques performance. The population of this study were futsal athletes which they are the students of Sports Science Faculty, State Universitas Negeri Padang. Those atheltes’ were taking Basic Futsal courses in the Sports Coaching Education Study Program students. The field trial sample was only male students with a limited number of athletes or students taking Futsal. The number of samples is 9 people, the small group trial sample is 9 participants this count performance from position in futsal Flank, Anchor and Pivot. The results of the expert validation study were three experts as follows: 1) Measurement test expert, 2) Futsal Expert performance, 3) Technology test. The conclusion for the average expert due diligence is a percentage of 93.33%. Furthermore, for small group field trials, validity and reliability analysis was carried out; the results of the analysis were obtained; 1) The validity level of the test. 2) The level of reliability of the test. Furthermore, the results of testing the large group obtained the results of the analysis. From the results of data analysis carried out by the Basic Futsal Technique Instrument for performance r-count 0,80 > 0,72, it can be used to measure the ability of futsal athletes to increase athletes’ performance.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG20A86F

Abstract
Study Purpose. This research aims to develop a solution that can enhance dollyo chagi kicks in taekwondo athletes. It investigates the effect of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) exercises combined with the intake of isotonic drinks on dollyo chagi kicks in taekwondo.
Method. This is a quasi-experimental study. The sample comprises 8 Taekwondo Dojang athletes from Padang State University, all aged 18 years. The sampling technique employed was purposive sampling. Data analysis was done using a one-group quantitative t-test.
Result. The findings indicate that Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) exercises and isotonic drink intake influence dollyo chagi kicks. The average pre-test score was 13.88, while the post-test average was 16.25. As the post-test average surpassed the pre-test average, the dollyo chagi kicks improved by 2.38. Result t-test tcount 3,64 > ttable= 1.89 is significant.
Conclusion. The Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) exercise enhances flexibility and strength in athletes. The study recommends incorporating PNF exercises and isotonic drink consumption to boost dollyo chagi kicks. Further research is suggested to explore other solutions for enhancing various abilities in taekwondo athletes. The isotonic drinks combined with PNF expedite recovery, enabling quicker dollyo chagi kicks.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG0DF869

Abstract
Study Purpose. Somatotype is a parameter used to determine criteria based on body type. However, not many have done somatotype measurements in selecting prospective athletes. This study aims to analyze the somatotype of athletes in the Tarung Derajat martial arts sport.
Material and Methods. This research uses descriptive research methods with survey research types and quantitative approaches, namely an anthropometric measurement test to identify the type of human body. Anthropometric measurement test is carried out by measuring bone width, body circumference, body fat thickness, weight and height. Perposive sampling technique was used in determining the sample. In this study, there were 30 Tarung Derajat martial arts athletes consisting of 15 categories of motion art and 15 categories of fighting that were sampled.
Results. The results of the study show that the central body type in athletes in the arts of motion with a percentage of 13% and 40% in combat athletes. Furthermore, the endomorph body type is 13% for motion art athletes and combat athletes with a percentage of 7%. For the endomorph-mesomorph body type as much as movement arts with a percentage of 67% and combat athletes by 47%, while for the Mesomorph, Mesomorph-Ectomorph body type there are no athletes and athletes in the arts of motion and fighting have an ectomorph endomorph body type with a percentage of 7%. The results of the study prove that in athletes in the movement arts category and fighters there are similarities in the body type they have which tend to have endomorph-mesomorph.
Conclusions. The conclusion is that the dominant body type in Tarung Derajat athletes shows an endomorph-mesomorph tendency with a percentage value of 67% in the movement arts category and 47% in the fighter category. The data of this study provide the characteristics of fighting somatotypes, which can be used to establish references for systematic research in sports health sciences. The results of this study are expected to influence coaching for training concentration, with more emphasis on somatotype.
