Abstract
Background. The effect of chocolate drinks on pulse recovery in Medan State University Sparta table tennis athletes was examined in this study. One of the common challenges faced by table tennis athletes during intense training or competition is the inability to fully recover from fatigue between training sessions or consecutive matches. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of consuming chocolate drinks on pulse recovery in table tennis athletes.
Materials and methods. The study employed an experimental quantitative design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach, where a single sample group underwent two assessments: before and after the intervention. The study population consisted of Sparta table tennis athletes from Medan State University. The Harvard Step Test method was used, followed by manual pulse rate measurement. Data analysis involved descriptive techniques, including the normality test and paired t-test.
Results. The study results showed a p-value of 0.00 (p < 0.05), with a mean difference of 18.66 between the pre-test and post-test groups. This indicates a statistically significant difference before and after the intervention. The findings suggest that consuming chocolate drinks has a significant effect on VO2max recovery in Sparta table tennis athletes at Medan State University.
Conclusion. The consumption of chocolate drinks significantly improves pulse recovery and VO2max levels in table tennis athletes, facilitating better recovery between training sessions and matches.

Abstract
The provision of good treatment can increase various positive things for the growth and development of children with disabilities, one of which is Positive and Negative Reinforcement. This study aims to determine the influence of positive and negative reinforcement on enhancing motivation for basic locomotor movements in children with disabilities. This study uses a pre-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted at Kendungkandang State Special School with a sample of 20 students. The data collection technique in this study uses tests and measurements. The results of the study showed a significant influence of Positive Reinforcement on the increase in basic locomotor motivation in children with disabilities. This result was confirmed by a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Negative reinforcement also had a significant effect on improving basic locomotor motivation in children with disabilities, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Although both had a significant influence on improving basic locomotor motivation in children with disabilities, Positive Reinforcement was found to have a stronger effect. This result can be seen from the basic locomotor motion test, where the mean value for Positive Reinforcement was 72.50, while the mean value for Negative Reinforcement was only 63. Therefore, this research concludes that Positive Reinforcement has a greater influence on enhancing basic locomotor motivation in children with disabilities.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG020AQNW

Abstract:
Background. Previous studies have examined the application and benefits of sensors, both in sports and health. Unfortunately, the design of sensor-based isometric contraction examination tools after ankle sprain injuries and ankle instability is still rarely carried out.
Purpose. The aim of this research is to design a sensor-based isometric contraction examination tool after ankle sprain injury and ankle instability.
Material and Methods. The design used is research and development involving experts, namely instrumentation physics, sports physiology, and physiotherapy to assess the suitability of the tool before field trials. The tool developed is the “Isometric Contractions Test”, which is designed in the form of a box with dimensions of 10 cm (height) x 10 cm (width) x 25 cm (length). Various electronic components are also used, such as Arduino Pro Mini, Flexi Sensors, switch buttons, and OLED LCD as digital reading output. A total of 10 participants aged 18-23 years participated voluntarily for the field trial. Participants were men and women who had experienced sub-acute or chronic ankle sprains and ankle instability. The data obtained were analyzed using the correlation method.
Result. The results of this study report that this sensor-based isometric contraction examination tool is valid, reliable, effective, and practical in detecting and treating post-injury healing of ankle sprains and ankle instability.
Conclusions. This tool can be used to assist physiotherapists in carrying out observations and evaluations to treat healing quickly and precisely, both in athletes and non-athletes.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG5608VP3

Abstract
This research aims to design a sensor-based tool for checking bilateral leg muscle circumference balance in athletes. This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) design. This research involved 3 experts who were competent in their fields, namely an instrumentation physicist, a physiotherapist and a sports physiologist, whose aim was at the validation test stage, to find out the weaknesses and strengths of the product that had been designed. After carrying out the validation test stage, the resulting product will be tested for use in the field. A total of 10 men who were selected using the Purposive Sampling technique with ages ranging from 20 to 28 years. The data obtained was tested using the r-correlation method. The main results of our research report that this sensor-based bilateral leg muscle circumference balance examination tool is valid, practical, effective, and reliable as a measuring tool for leg muscle circumference balance examination. This tool proves highly beneficial for healthcare professionals, particularly sports physiotherapists, by aiding in muscle balance assessments.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG5608CA7

Abstract
Background and Study Aim. Low Back Pain (LBP) is an abnormal condition in the lower back which is accompanied by a painful sensation so that it will experience limitations in moving. Therefore, the need for special treatment in dealing with Low Back Pain (LBP) in order to reduce pain. Material and Methods. This research is a pre-experimental research using the approach one group pretest and posttest design. In this study, the results of the initial test data (pretest) were measured in the form of low back pain results with VAS, Modified Schober Test, Fingertip to Floor, and ODI, then giving treatment by combining deep tissue massage with stretching. Therapy is given to patients 3 times a week for 3 weeks, then the final data measurement (Posttest) is carried out. The subjects of this study were patients at the LKP Rumah Sehat Mandiri clinic for the last 5 months who had experienced low back pain injuries. Sampling in this study used purposive sampling so that there were 20 people with an age range of 20-60 years. The analysis in this study uses the SPSS Version 26 application. Results. The results showed that the indicators of pain, flexion, extension, right flexion, left flexion and function had a significant effect using a combination of deep tissue massage and stretching with a significant value si showing 0.000 < 0.05. In the left flexion indicator, a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05 was obtained, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the deep tissue massage combination of stretching treatment. Conclusions. The results of this study provide evidence that the combination of deep tissue massage and stretching provides a significant reduction in the healing of low back pain injuries in patients. That way a combination of deep tissue massage and stretching can be applied to treat low back pain injury healing.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG2EF8Sbq

Abstract
Traditional sports games have become an important part of the cultural heritage we inherited from our ancestors. However, with the development of technology and changes in modern lifestyles, traditional sports games have seen a decline in popularity among children. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the role of traditional sports games in increasing children’s endurance in an innovative way.  This research uses a qualitative descriptive research model that is a literature study that uses various literature reviews in strengthening research analysis. This research began by collecting some literature, then conducted a review and the collected literature was analyzed with a critical Apprasial table of 10 literature. The results showed that traditional sports games were able to provide significant benefits for children’s endurance. Through these games, children develop motor skills, body coordination, and balance. They also learn to cope with challenges, develop social skills, such as cooperation and communication, and gain a sense of pride in their cultural heritage.  In addition, the introduction of traditional sports games adapted to innovative elements, such as the use of technology or the setting of new rules, can increase children’s interest in participating. This allows them to maintain a connection to the traditions of the past while experiencing the joys and challenges presented in a more contemporary context.  This research provides recommendations for educators and parents to promote traditional sports games as an integral part of children’s educational and activity curricula. Thus, children can develop innovative resilience through activities that honor their ancestral heritage.
