Abstract
Background. The aim of this study is to develop and validate a new exercise protocol for early intervention programs using VA cues and TVP stimulation for early-term babies. This includes evaluating the protocol and supporting its implementation in early intervention through expert content validation.
Methods. A five-point Likert scale was used to validate 10 online questions with the input of 15 experts. Reliability was tested in 30 babies aged between 3 and 6 months. A key challenge was to create a psychometrically reliable, practical, and efficient questionnaire for both clinical and research applications. This article outlines the guidelines used for the development and validation process, with a particular emphasis on developmental milestones. Various statistical techniques were employed to assess the validity and reliability of the questionnaire and ensure its psychometric quality. The exercise protocol was specifically designed for use with early-term babies.
Results. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was 0.883, indicating an excellent level of internal consistency among the scale items.
Conclusion. Based on the Cronbach’s alpha analysis, the developed exercise protocol is effective in reducing the risk of future developmental delays.

Abstract
Aim. To analyze the outcome of VA cues and TVP stimulation on the development of gross motor milestones in early-term babies with developmental delays.
Method. One hundred and ten participants who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected for the study. A 12-week VA cues exercise program was implemented to assess the effects of early intervention on delayed milestones. This single-blinded study, with a blinded assessor, utilized the Denver Developmental Screening Test (DDST) and involved 12 weeks of early intervention therapy, with each session lasting 60 minutes.
Results. Following early intervention, the risk of developmental delay showed significant improvement. Milestone categorization was assessed at baseline, immediately after the intervention, and during follow-ups at 3, 6, and 12 months. Repeated measures ANOVA indicated a statistically significant difference, with a mean score of 3.00 ± 1.00 at pre-test, 6.95 ± 0.95 at post-test, and 7.00 ± 0.35 at final follow-up.
Conclusion. VA cues and TVP stimulation, which involve family empowerment, can assist clinicians and researchers in tailoring health promotion interventions to the specific needs of early-term children with developmental delays.

Abstract Background. The use of advanced technology in healthcare management is widespread in current practice. Many innovative technologies assist healthcare professionals in providing accurate, high-quality intervention protocols to alleviate patient issues effectively. Similarly, many technology-assisted evaluation and treatment methods are also in practice in the field of physiotherapy. In this study, our objective was to identify advanced innovative technologies used in the physiotherapy management of neurological problems, especially in the stroke population. Methods. Recent literature from the period of 01/01/2018 to 31/12/2023 was searched in the PubMed, Cochrane, and Medline databases using specific keywords: assisted technology, robotic therapy, assisted device, stroke population, and recent trends in physiotherapy. More than 50 articles were selected from the databases and carefully evaluated, including device-assisted exercises in the stroke population, with systematic reviews and meta-analyses identifying relevant RCT studies. Approximately 9 articles were scrutinized based on criteria for bias reduction and evaluated for the advantages and disadvantages of advanced technology support in physiotherapy interventions. Results. Robotic therapy-assisted intervention was compared with conventional management in many studies, revealing that quality of life and learning outcomes were more beneficial in the technology-assisted exercise group, especially among ischemic hemiplegic subjects. Upper extremity and hand dexterity functions also improved more in the advanced technology-assisted intervention. Limitations of the study were identified in the frequency and intensity of the technology-assisted exercise protocol, with its benefits not clearly outlined in previous studies. Conclusion. Advancement in physiotherapy management in association with technology device-assisted intervention will play a major role in the future. We recommend further investigation into exercise parameters such as duration, frequency, and intensity to better understand their beneficial effects for stroke patients, which could aid future physiotherapy practice.

Abstract
Background: The geriatric Population faces common health challenges such as Frailty and neck Pain, which increases the risk for adverse ADL. It leads to a greater level of disability & Headache risk, lower physical functioning and reduced quality of life. A Biopsychosocial Approach centred on activities, emphasizing the enhancement of Biological factors, Psychological factors and Social functional performance to achieve the goals of the Biopsychosocial Approach. This involves intensifying exercise training by leveraging the environment, conducting thorough task analysis, providing feedback and consistently repeating training sessions. Objective: To determine the effects of the Biopsychosocial Approach on Subacute Neck Pain in the geriatric population, focusing on pain, neck-specific disability and work status. Methods: 64 samples were randomly allocated into two groups. The experimental group received the Biopsychosocial Approach, which integrated biological, psychological and social aspects activity-centred, emphasizing repeated training sessions over 8 weeks. The control group underwent Conservative Management 3 days/week for the same duration. Pre and post-test assessments were conducted using the PCS, NDI and AQoL-8D. Results: The significant improvements in the experimental group compared to the control group were demonstrated by the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann-Whitney Rank scores (p < 0.001). Specifically, participants in the experimental group experienced reduced neck pain, enhanced neck function, and improved quality outcomes. The results suggest that the Biopsychosocial Approach effectively addressed the multifaceted nature of pain. Conclusion: The study provides compelling evidence supporting Biopsychosocial in reducing neck pain and improving overall quality of life among geriatric populations.

Effectiveness of joint mobilization on heel fat pad syndrome among obese patient in geriatric population

Abstract
Objective. To determine the effect of joint mobilization on Heel Fat Pad Syndrome among obese geriatrics. Methods. The randomized controlled study was performed at the Saveetha Physiotherapy OPD, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. 202 samples aged above 60 years were collected based on the criterion for inclusion and exclusion. Interventions. The experimental Group (101Subjects) was treated with Ultrasound and Joint Mobilization. The Control Group (101 Subjects) was treated with Ultrasound and conventional Exercises. The lifestyle and Balance Assessment used the Foot Function Index and Berg balance scale. A numeric Pain Rating Scale was used to measure Pain. Results. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test revealed a significant difference (p < 0.001) in the experimental Group between the pre-test and post-test values of NPRS, FFI, and BBS. Similarly, the Control Group showed a significant difference (p < 0.001) in the pre-test and post-test values of NPRS, FFI, and BBS. The comparison of post-test scores between the Experimental Group and the Control Group also showed a significant difference (p < 0.001), indicating significant improvements in the experimental group. As a result, the effects of Joint Mobilization on Heel Pad Syndrome minimize the symptoms of heel fat pad syndrome, Improve Foot Function and balance and reduce pain. Conclusion. The study provided evidence that ultrasound and joint mobilization used in this study show a significant reduction in pain and balance with non-specific heel pain.
