Abstract
Aim of the study. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of resistance circuit training and psychological techniques on archery accuracy at distances of 50, 40, and 30 meters. This research was conducted as a quasi-experimental study using a matching-only design. Subjects were divided into two groups: (K1) athletes trained with mental imagery and circuit training using equipment, and (K2) athletes trained with mental imagery and circuit training without equipment. The intervention lasted for six weeks, with training sessions three times per week.
Results. The findings of this study indicated significant differences between pre-test and post-test results in both groups (K1 and K2) (p < 0.05). The conclusion of this study suggests that resistance circuit training, both with and without equipment, combined with mental imagery training, can enhance archery accuracy. It is recommended that this type of training be incorporated into athletes’ training programs. Future research should explore the integration of various training programs with more diverse and dynamic exercises.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG01A8R3T9

Abstract
Objectives. A review of the systematic reviews designed to assess the overall certainty in the evidence for the effect of blood flow restriction training (BFRT) in patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA).
Methods. A systematic search identified systematic reviews using BFRT in knee osteoarthritis OA. Two authors searched five electronic databases, including Google Scholar, Cochrane Library, PubMed, PEDro, and CINAHL, from October 2010 to October 2023. The quality of included reviews was analyzed by the AMSTAR tool.
Results. Six systematic reviews were eligible, and 33 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) with a total of 1248 participants were included. The quality varied from moderate to high, and results showed minimal enhancement in pain, physical function, and life quality.
Conclusion. The synthesis of the reviews has shown some potential improvement in OA patient outcomes. BFRT can be beneficial in OA rehabilitation, and the findings suggest conducting a higher-quality review to explore the use of BFRT with different loads.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG01A8D5E1

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find out the impact of 12-week circuit body weight training on athletes’ physical fitness. This study used an experimental design with a control group. This experimental model consists of three stages. Firstly, pre-testing the dependent variable before implementing the treatment. Secondly, experimental participants are given experimental treatment, specifically the circuit body weight approach. Thirdly, provide a post-test to measure the dependent variable after treatment. The experimental sample included 25 athletes from various sports who were separated into two treatment groups. The circuit body weight group consisted of 13 samples, while the remaining 12 were trained using conventional direct teaching methods. The data analysis technique begins with calculating the data’s normality. The homogeneity test determines if two data sets contain homogeneous versions. Finally, the Mann-Whitney test compares two similar population means. Calculations using SPSS IBM 26 on data before treatment in the experimental class resulted in a valid sample size of 25 and a score of 48.40 ± 2,931. The experimental group had a valid sample size of 25, with a score of 49.57 ± 2,979. Pre-test data for the control class showed 25 valid samples with a score of 38.7 ± 6,607. Meanwhile, the control class post-test data obtained a valid sample size of 25 with a score 39.43 ± 6.796. The table shows a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference in physical fitness scores between the experimental and control groups. Additionally, there is a difference in average Physical Fitness results between the Circuit bodyweight training model and the conventional learning model.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG5608R0N

Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the effects of ingesting royal jelly at doses of 1500 mg, 3000 mg, and 4500 mg after 48 hours of high-intensity weight training on malondialdehyde (MDA) levels and pain intensity measured by visual analog scale (VAS). A total of 16 participants were randomly assigned to four groups: placebo, 1500 mg, 3000 mg, and 4500 mg of royal jelly sports gel. Blood samples were collected before and after the intervention to measure MDA levels, and pain intensity was assessed using VAS. The results demonstrated a significant reduction in MDA levels in the 4500 mg royal jelly group compared to the placebo group. In terms of pain intensity, the 4500 mg royal jelly group also exhibited a significant decrease compared to the placebo group, while no significant changes were observed in the 1500 mg and 3000 mg groups. These findings suggest that the consumption of royal jelly sports gel at a dosage of 4500 mg may have a positive impact on reducing oxidative stress and pain intensity after high-intensity weight training. Further research is warranted to explore the potential mechanisms and optimal dosages of royal jelly in enhancing recovery from exercise-induced muscle damage.

Janani V., P. Antony Leo Aseer, P. M. Venkata Sai – Effect of varied biofeedback training on transverse abdominis muscle thickness in non-specific low back pain. Fizjoterapia Polska 2021; 21(4); 50-56

Abstract
Aim. The dynamic stability of the low back region is governed by the core musculature, namely the transverse abdominis (TrA) and multifidus. Most rehabilitation professionals believe that selective activation training of the TrA can decrease symptoms in individuals with non-specific low back pain (NSLBP). In this study we have aimed to analyze the effects of varied biofeedback training of the transverse abdominis muscle on the muscle thickness in LBP individuals.
Materials & Methods. Thirty-four LBP individuals were randomly allotted to varied biofeedback training and core muscle exercise groups for three weeks. The transverse abdominis muscle thickness at rest and during the abdominal drawing-in maneuver (ADIM) and the TrA activation ratio were measured as outcomes using ultrasonography.
Results. Varied biofeedback training for three weeks resulted in a significant increase in the thickness (cm) of the transverse abdominis at rest (0.41 ± 0.06) and abdominal drawing-in maneuver (0.54 ± 0.05). There was no significant change in the transverse abdominis contraction ratio between the groups.
Conclusion. Varied biofeedback training of the transverse abdominis was found to be effective in improving the thickness of the transverse abdominis in the treatment of non-specific lower back pain. This above finding may have positive clinical implications in individuals with non-specific lower back pain.

Robert Kowalski, Bożena Jasiak-Tyrkalska, Tomasz Brzostek, Bogusław Frańczuk – Comparison of treadmill training and cycle ergometer training in claudicants – pilot study. Fizjoterapia Polska 2007; 7(4); 438-446

Abstract
Background. This paper offers a direct comparison of the effectiveness of treadmill training versus cycle ergometer training in patients with intermittent claudication. Low intensity (pain-free) training was used. Functional walking ability and quality of life were also evaluated. Material and methods. Twelve men aged 50-70 years with Fontaine stage II B PAOD suffering from intermittent claudication, randomly divided into 2 groups (treadmill or cycle ergometer), participated in a 12-week training programme, exercising for 30 minutes three times a week up to 85% of the time to onset of claudication pain. The effectiveness of the training programme was assessed as the difference between the time to onset of claudication pain, functional walking ability (WIQ) and quality of life (SF-36) at baseline and after programme completion. Results. On completion of the training programme, claudication distance was increased in both groups, from min. 152% to max. 682% of the baseline value, with similar improvements in the cycle ergometer vs. treadmill training group. Self-reported functional walking ability (WIQ) and quality of life (SF-36) also improved.Conclusions. Treadmill training and cycle ergometer training improved claudication distance, subjective functional walking ability and quality of life. The effects were similar in both groups.

Małgorzata Fortuna, Jacek Szczurowski, Anna Konieczna-Gorysz – Assessment of aerobic capacity in elderly women and men subjected to rehabilitation training. Fizjoterapia Polska 2011; 11(2); 169-174

Abstract
Good aerobic capacity is the basic factor responsible for self-sufficiency in elderly people. In this popu-lation maximum oxygen uptake (VO2max) is indicative of their aerobic capacity. The aim of the study was to compare and assess aerobic fitness in elderly males and females subjected to rehabilitation training.he 30 women aged 75 ± 5 and 30 men 79 ± 8 aged were subjected to a long-lasting reha-bilitation training whose purpose was to improve their aerobic capacity. This training lasted for minimum two years. The subjects were tested using the Astrand – Ryhming test on a cycle ergometer. In men the obtained average VO2max value [22.4 (ml/min./kg. body mass) ±1.7] was higher as compared to the corresponding value obtained in the group of females [21.4 (ml/min./kg. body mass) ± 1.9 ]. This difference was significant between groups (at the level p<0.05). The VO2max values obtained from both groups of subjects were good if we consider the subjects’ age. This interpretation was based on Monark Test Report by Monark 818E Analysis Software Version 2.0.The average VO2max value obtained from both groups indicated a good level of aerobic capacity in the studied subjects. in the currently conducted research a statistically significant between gender differences in maximum oxygen uptake were noted. The values obtained from the male subjects were significantly higher than these obtained from the females.
