Abstract
This study aimed to analyse the differences in physical performance among professional football players based on their playing position: goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, and forward. The background to this study stems from the need for coaching staff to understand the specific physical demands of each position to optimise training programmes and match strategies. A quantitative approach with a descriptive-comparative design was used. The study subjects consisted of 11 professional players from Liga 1 Indonesia clubs, grouped by their main positions. Performance measurements included VO₂ max (yoyo test) and football performance analysis (Catapult One). The results of the performance analysis by position showed functionally significant differences in physical characteristics. Midfielders recorded the highest performance with a VO₂ max of 62.35 ml/kg/min, intensity of 200.07 m/min, and maximum speed of 20.22 m/s, emphasising their role as the motor of the game. Defenders covered the longest distance (7,611.68 m) with a duration of 96.84 minutes, reflecting high stability and endurance. Forwards were dominant in sprinting (B5: 164.67 m; B6: 115.89 m) and speed (12.22 m/s), matching the explosive demands of attacking. Goalkeepers had the lowest intensity (VO₂ max: 56.18 ml/kg/min; distance: 5,708.76 m), but still recorded high reaction speed (10.52 m/s). These findings support the importance of position-based training and performance data for tactical efficiency and performance optimisation.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG7D19F64W

Abstract
The drilling method is widely believed to improve volleyball skills; however, it may also enhance physical fitness, particularly endurance. Despite this, the effectiveness of the drilling method for increasing VO2max in volleyball athletes has been minimally investigated. This study aimed to test the effect of the drilling smash training method on endurance. An experimental design was employed, involving 13 volleyball athletes aged 17–19 years as participants. The Multi Fitness Test was used as the assessment instrument. Descriptive analysis indicated a pre-test score of 43.85 and a post-test score of 46.93, with a significance level of 3.1. The Wilcoxon analysis revealed a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference. Therefore, the drilling smash training method can significantly increase the endurance of volleyball athletes based on the findings of this research. However, further research is needed to explore the long-term effects of this training on the overall performance of volleyball athletes.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG020AUWG

Abstract:
The aim of this study was to assess the use of NEFA for the young population of Indonesia as well as to test its validity and reliability through comparison with laboratory tests. This study was divided into two phases: laboratory testing aimed at measuring VO2max on a treadmill using a velocity-dependent ramp test (INCS) method based on incremental protocols, and the NEFA measurement phase. The two phases were separated by a week. There was a significant correlation between the three variables: NEFA HRrest vs NEFA Non-HRrest (CC = 0.934; p = 0.001), NEFA Non-HRrest vs INCS test (CC = 0.476; p = 0.005), and NEFA HRrest vs INCS test (CC = 0.525; p = 0.002). The equation of NEFA HRrest and NEFA Non-HRrest was not accurate when performed on a young population with moderate physical activity levels (aerobic for 1–3 hours/week).

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG2EF824g

Abstract
This research problem arises because increasing VO2max is crucial in improving the performance of kumite karate athletes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of fartlek training and circuit training on increasing VO2max of Inkanas Resmata Madiun Kota kumite athletes. This research was conducted using experimental methods. The study’s population comprised 20 kumite karate athletes from the Inkanas Resmata dojo of the Madiun Kota police department. The sampling technique employed is the matched-pair method. The study sample included 17 kumite karate athletes from the Inkanas Resmata dojo at the Madiun Kota police department, each receiving the treatment 16 times. The research instrument used is the Multi-Step Fitness Test (MFT). The data analysis technique used in this study is a t-test to determine the comparison of fartlek training and circuit training exercises in increasing VO2max. Results of the study: the first hypothesis for the fartlek group is known that the t-test value is calculated at −12,520 with a significance value of 0.000. For the circuit training group, the hypothesis is confirmed with a calculated t-test value of −9.168 and a significance value of 0.000. From the test results using the independent sample T test, it is known that the t value is calculated with a significance value of 0.000 > 0.05. The strong conclusion of this study is that both fartlek training and circuit training significantly increase the VO2max of kumite karate athletes Dojo Inkanas Resmata Polres Madiun Kota, providing clear evidence of the effectiveness of both exercise methods in improving the physical condition of athletes.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG0DFA52

Abstract

The police is an agency of the state government whose job is to maintain security, order and public order (arresting people who break the law). The police play a role in maintaining public order and security, enforcing the law, and providing protection, protection and service to the community. To be successful as a police officer, special preparation is required to achieve the desired results. So far, the training program for police candidates has only focused on time-paced running. There has been no variety of interval training developed. Extensive Interval Training is an alternative exercise that police recruits can do to pass the Aptitude Test. The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of extensive interval training in increasing aerobic endurance (VO2max) in prospective police students. Experiments were used in the design of this study. This study used only one experimental group, and the treatment was modified interval training. police subjects are candidates aged 19–21 years who attended 18 sessions of Extensive Interval Training. Coopert’s test (12 minutes run) is the instrument used in data collection. In this study, Kolmogorov sminov was used to calculate data normality to ensure that the sample groups came from the same population. The hypothesis was tested using the SPSS 23 program by comparing the results of the first test with the final test, namely the 12 minute running test. The results of the study proved that there was an increase in the aerobic endurance of POLRI candidates after being given Extensive Interval Training, namely an increase in the percentage of aerobic endurance of police candidates after being given interval training of 10.21%.
