Abstract
Background. The paper presents results of surgeon treatment with the program and its results of physiotherapy after injuries of the ligamentum collaterale tibiale. The complex therapy allows get a stable joint and return to sport activity. In cases of complex injuries, particular of the youth and geriatrics, when a reconstruction of ACL is impossible, the plastic operation of LCM is enough for functional stability of the knee. Material and methods. In the period 1999-2002, 122 people were analized: 69 women and 53 men. Age of patiens was from 15 to 60 years old, the average 24. Operations were done between 01/1999 and 03.2002 in National Center of Sport Medecine in Warsaw. All operations were done by 3 surgeons. After the treatment patients judged their knees subjectivly in accordance with the Lysholm skale. Results. The best results were obtainabled with peopele with notified to doctor at short time after the injury and did all program of physiotherapy. The best degree received 56% people, the good 26%, satisfactory 15% and unsatisfactory 3%. Conclusions. The program of physical exercise should be selected individualy for patien’s needs. Early starting with physiotherapy abridge the time of come back to physical activity. We should very quickly introduces execices of a proprioreceptive reeducation and continue it after the end of physiotherapy.
