Abstract
Introduction. It is estimated that more than 50% of patients who functioned well before the proximal femoral fracture were unable to return to pre-injury activity. Moreover, mortality in this group of patients is estimated at over 21% within the first year of fracture, and in the next 5 years this number increases to 59%. The aim of the study is to analyze the impact of the fracture of the proximal part of femur treated surgically on selected gait parameters.
Material and methods. 51 people were examined, including 40 women and 11 men. The average age of the respondents was 73 years. The youngest person in the study group was 51 years old and the oldest 92 years old. The following research tools were used in the study: interview, analysis of medical documentation and gait assessment on the tensometric platform. Results. In the age group 50-64 years, the walking cycle time among the examined people was on average 1.51 sec in women and 1.35 sec in men. In the age group 65-80 years, among women and men is 1.37 sec. Conclusions. The gait pattern of people after a fracture of the proximal femur is changed and deviates from the norm. In the study group, the length of the walk cycle in both women and men in the age group 50 -64 years old, as well as 65-80 years old, is significantly shorter compared to the assumptions of the standard. The study did not show significant differences in step length on the operated and non-operated side in all age groups, both in women and men. Walking cycle times (stride time) in the 54-64 age group and 65-80 years of age among the surveyed men is within the upper limit of the norm. On the other hand, among the surveyed women in these age groups, the walking cycle time significantly exceeds the upper limit of the norm.

Abstract
Aim. The goal of the below work was to estimate the effectiveness of deep torso muscles exercises and its influence on the low back pain syndrome.
Material and methods: Research group consisted of 46 individuals, including 30 women and 16 men, who suffered from the low back pain syndrome. Age range of patients was between 32 and 62 years old, with the average age of 47 years old. Two research tools were used in the above work, the international questionnaire Revised Oswestry Low Back Pain Disability which contains 10 questions about the pain sensations during performing daily activities, and self-created questionnaire containing 6 questions including one about the level of pain felt by the patient. After filling both questionnaires patients took part in the 30 day long rehabilitation program where exercises strengthening the deep torso muscles were performed. After they finished the program, the individuals were asked to fill questionnaires again.
Results. Total level of health complaints after training cycle was 7.91 and decreased in a statistically significant way in relation to the value before the training cycle when it was 23.59, the difference being 15.67. The results arousing from the study clearly indicate a decrease in pain sensations among patients submitted to this analysis. After a full monthly therapy, average perceptible pain measured by the VAS scale decreased by 2.2 points and amounted to 3.67 points.
Conclusions. Performed tests clearly indicate that deep muscle exercise therapy repeated in cycles significantly reduced the subjective pain sensations among examined patients. General physical fitness improvement was also observed. Final results of research prove that strengthening of the torso muscles is an effective way of low back pain treatment.

Abstract
Functional Movement Screening is one of the tests which allow you to find the existing risk of injury. The aim of the work was to assess the state of functional movement possibilities of female floorball players with the use of the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) test and to assess the possibility of improving the result with the use of a set of corrective exercises. The research covered a group of 50 fit young women aged 16-24, training floorball in the category of senior juniors and seniors (mean age 18.2). To evaluate the movement patterns, Functional Movement Screen (FMS) was used. The assessment with the FMS test consisted of seven functional movement tests. The average score obtained by the athletes in the FMS test before the correction was 14.6 points (SD = 1.5), after the correction 16.3 points (SD = 1.4). Female floorball players, based on the FMS test, present a good level of basic mobility with the risk classification of 25-35%. Introducing correction according to the FMS test after just 2 months improves the functional efficiency of the female floorball players.

Abstract
The objective of this study was to assess the level of functional fitness of 30 female dancers (16 jazz dancers and 14 hip-hop dancers), aged between 16 and 21 years. An important research goal was to determine whether there are any differences in the level of functional fitness between the two groups, depending on the dance style. Moreover, the study also aimed to assess the correlation between the style of dance and the results obtained for the particular components of the FMS test. The study was carried out in the Egurrola Dance Studio in Krakow in April 2018. The final result of the tests provided a picture of the overall physical fitness of the examined group of dancers, and was found to be appropriate, since the total mean score was above the limit value of an increased injury risk. No differences were found between jazz and hip-hop dancers with regard to the overall physical fitness score. At the same time, however, differences were detected in the detailed scores for the particular FMS components. The test results reflected the level of functional fitness among the dancers, and the detailed scores confirmed the differences in that level depending on the type of activity.
