DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG7D19MKQK

Abstract
Objective. This study aimed to investigate the effects of meditation and deep breathing exercises on archery accuracy, with a specific focus on their impact on cardiovascular endurance.
Methods. A two-group pretest–posttest experimental design was employed. The sample consisted of 20 athletes aged 12–14 years, with an average training experience of 2.7 ± 6.6 years and an average of three competitions per year. Participants were divided into two groups: a meditation group (MG) and a deep breathing group (DBG). Both groups underwent 18 training sessions over six weeks with identical training doses (sets, duration, and recovery). All participants practiced archery at a distance of 30 meters for 30 minutes. Data collection included a 30-meter accuracy test and a multistage fitness test to assess cardiovascular endurance. Data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA in SPSS 26.
Results. The Shapiro–Wilk test confirmed the normality of the data distribution, and the homogeneity test (p > 0.05) indicated that the data originated from the same population. Two-way ANOVA revealed: (1) differences in cardiovascular endurance between the MG and DBG groups (0.041 < 0.05), (2) differences in 30-meter archery accuracy based on cardiovascular endurance (0.000 < 0.05), and (3) an interaction between MG and DBG on 30-meter archery accuracy based on cardiovascular endurance (0.025 < 0.05).
Conclusions. Deep breathing exercises demonstrated more significant improvements in cardiovascular endurance compared to meditation exercises. Enhanced cardiovascular endurance likely contributed to improved hand stability, mental focus, and coordination during archery competitions. This study highlights the need for further research with larger sample sizes and more advanced measurement methods.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG020C49RP

Abstract The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of windmill arm exercises on 50-meter freestyle swimming speed. Methods. This research used an experimental method with a one-group pre-test-post-test research design. Sampling used a total sampling technique with 45 junior swimmers as participants. The data collection method used the 50-meter freestyle swimming test in both the pre-test and post-test. This research used the t-test for analysis. Results. Based on the results of this research, the calculated t-value is 20.364. This t-value (20.364) is compared to the critical value of t (2.000) at a significance level of α = 0.05 with a degree of freedom df = n − 1 = 44. Thus, tht_hth (20.364) > ttt_ttt (2.000), and based on the table for α = 0.05, a significance level of 0.05 is obtained. This indicates a significant effect on improving the 50-meter freestyle swimming speed of the sample group. Conclusions. Thus, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Findings. The alternative hypothesis (Ha) states that windmill arm exercises affect 50-meter freestyle swimming speed in junior swimmers.

Abstract
This study aims to explore future research directions concerning retired athletes through a bibliometric analysis based on a literature review, utilizing the VOS Viewer application. The research employs a literature review methodology incorporating three tools: Harzing’s Publish or Perish, Mendeley Desktop, and VOS Viewer. Harzing’s Publish or Perish was used to identify articles published in international journals indexed in Scopus from 2016 to 2024 using the keyword “retired athlete.” Mendeley Desktop and VOS Viewer were applied to filter and categorize articles by keywords, as well as to analyze performance, co-citation, bibliographic integration, and scientific mapping. An initial search with Harzing’s Publish or Perish yielded 153 articles. After thematic filtering, 96 articles were retained, and 33 were further analyzed using VOS Viewer. The keyword analysis, based on clustering, highlights prevalent challenges faced by retired athletes, including mental health, well-being, quality of life, physical activity, risk factors, suicide, and career transitions. However, prevention strategies addressing these issues remain underexplored. Consequently, research on preventive measures, such as the development of educational and training models to help retired athletes maintain their fitness, quality of life, and overall well-being, presents a promising avenue for future studies.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG5608X9E

Abstract
This study investigates the condition of (1) nutritional status, (2) physical fitness, (3) physical activity patterns of sports science study program students after the pandemic. The research method uses quantitative methods with analytical observational design. The research subjects were sports students from the Sports Science study program, FIKK UNY. The subjects were active students totaling around 50 participants determined using purposive sampling techniques. Physical fitness data collection techniques use the BMI formula, bleep test and GPAQ questionnaire. Techniques for analyzing data with homogeneity and normality. The results obtained from nutritional status and cardiovascular fitness can be said to be still unsatisfactory, nutritional status is in the normal or ideal category, but the range of cardiovascular abilities is still in the adequate category for men and inadequate for women. Meanwhile, the measurement results from filling out the GPAQ questionnaire show that there is still a need to increase awareness of the importance of physical activity, indicated by transportation and recreational activities of moderate intensity which are still in the category of not meeting the recommendations, even though heavy, moderate physical activity and vigorous recreational activities meet the recommendations. Nutritional status is still in the normal category, but the range of cardiovascular abilities is still in the adequate category for men and inadequate for women. This is positively correlated with moderate intensity physical activity patterns, transportation and recreation, which are still in the category of not meeting recommendations. The sedentary habits usually carried out by sports students must be able to be transferred as soon as possible to more useful and productive movement activities. Amount of leisure time for physical activity is still relatively low, whereas other moderate to vigorous physical activity habits are beginning to resurface. There must be an intentional strategy to provide suggestions on how to spend free time performing activities outdoors or indoors.

Abstract
Academic Procrastination is an alarming phenomenon in education sector nowadays. It would be a big obstacle in the learning process especially for high school students.  The aim of this research is to understand the influence and relationship between the interest of doing physical exercises and psychological well-being to procrastination. The population of this research were 355 students of XI grade of SMAN 1 Muntilan.Using purposive sampling, 101 students were obtained as the sample. Data analysis technique using product moment correlation and linear regression with the interest in doing physical exercises (X1) and psychological well-being (X2) as independent variables, and procrastination (Y) as the dependent variable. The results show that almost all of students (80%) have a trend to do academic procrastination. This is shown  by 67.3% of students having moderate procrastination and 16.8% of students having high procrastination behavior. There is a negative correlation between the interest in doing physical exercises and psychological well-being with procrastination, where the correlation coefficients are −0.554 and −0.164, respectively. A negative correlation can be interpreted if an increase in one variable is associated with a decrease in another variable in this context, namely when the physical exercise and psychological well-being variables increase, there is a decrease in students’ tendency to engage in procrastination behavior. Meanwhile in regression analysis with 5% significant level shows only interest of doing physical exercises that significant influencing procrastination with p-value = 0.000.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG2EF81DD

Abstract
Purpose. The study aimed to analyze the relationship between systolic and diastolic blood pressure and cardiovascular capacity in the elderly. Method. This research is an analytical observational study conducted with a cross-sectional approach. The sample involved 43 elderlies with characteristics: age 66.79 ± 4.24; weight 62.4 ± 11.66; and height 157.83 ± 6.77. The blood pressure measurements were carried out using a tensimeter, while the cardiovascular measurements were carried out using a 2-minute step test based on the senior fitness test procedure. Pearson’s correlation test was applied to determine the relationship between cardiorespiratory ability and blood pressure. Results. The Pearson’s data analysis test results showed a negative correlation between cardiorespiratory capacity and systolic blood pressure (r(41) = −0.516, p = < 0.001) and diastolic (r(41) = −0.442, p = 0.003). Conclusion. The higher the cardiorespiratory level in the elderly, the lower the systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Thus, good cardio respiration is known to provide positive benefits in better blood pressure regulation in the elderly. Exercise may be needed so that the elderly obtains good cardiorespiratory fitness and, at the same time, normal blood pressure.

Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship of living habits during the new normal period with (1) body composition and (2) blood oxygen levels after cycling while wearing a mask. This research is a multicenter study between Indonesia and Malaysia, with the data presented here being specifically from the DI Yogyakarta region in Indonesia, involving an analytical observational study using a cross-sectional approach. The study included 71 research subjects. The instruments used to collect data were fitness behavior during the pandemic (exercise frequency and duration), anthropometric and oxygen saturation measurement after cycling during pandemic. Body composition was determined using the BMI formula, involving height and weight. Oxygen saturation during cycling was measured using the Pulse Oximeter FOX-1(N) by Elitech Technovision. The largest percentage of cycling is twice a week (42.25%), followed by three, one, fifth and fourth times a week. The majority of participants cycled for 120 minutes (35.21%), followed by durations of 180 minutes, 60 minutes, 30 minutes, and so on. Oxygen saturation data shows that most subjects have oxygen saturation of 98% (47.8% of respondents), none of them have 100%, but 97% saturation, 96% occupying the second and third distributions. From the primary data obtained in Indonesia, only oxygen saturation and cycling duration showed a highly significant relationship (p = 0.009), while other variables, such as BMI and cycling frequency, did not exhibit a significant correlation. It can be concluded that a significant relationship exists between exercise duration, specifically cycling, and oxygen saturation in Indonesian subjects.
