DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG7D19HTTN

Abstract
Study purpose. This study aims to determine the relationship between physical activity (PA), body mass index (BMI), and body fat percentage in final-year students at the junior high school level.
Methods. This research is quantitative with a correlational research design. The subjects in this study were 9th-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Jogoroto who were selected using random sampling techniques. A total of 58 students (29 boys and 29 girls) were randomly selected and volunteered to participate in this study. PA levels were measured using the IPAQ questionnaire, body fat percentage was measured using the Tanita InnerScan Body Composition Monitor scales model BC-541, and BMI was obtained from the formula = body weight (kg)/body height² (m). The data analysis technique uses descriptive statistical tests and Spearman’s rho rank correlation with the help of Microsoft Excel 2016 and SPSS version 25.
Results. The results of the correlation test show that the correlation coefficient is negative and the significance is greater than 0.05 between PA and BMI (r = −0.162, p = 0.225 > 0.05) and body fat percentage (r = -0.095, p = 0.480 > 0.05). It can be said that these two relationships are weak, while BMI and body fat percentage have a positive correlation and significance less than 0.05 (r = 0.779, p = 0.000 < 0.05), indicating that BMI and body fat percentage have a strong correlation.
Conclusions. The conclusion is that PA is negatively correlated with BMI and body fat percentage, although neither relationship is significant. However, BMI was found to have a positive and significant correlation with body fat percentage in students. Therefore, it is recommended that students maintain their PA in line with WHO recommendations and keep their BMI within the normal range. If your BMI is normal, it is likely that your body fat percentage is also normal.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG7D19BUBS

Abstract
Background. Arm muscle endurance is very important for martial arts athletes to support strength and endurance during matches. Exercise methods such as TRX and body weight training are considered effective for improving muscular endurance, but the comparison of the two has not been widely studied.
Objective. This study aims to analyze the effect of TRX and body weight training on the endurance of arm muscles of martial arts athletes. This study used an experimental design by dividing the sample into two groups, namely the TRX exercise group and the body weight training group. A total of 24 pencak silat athletes who met the inclusion criteria participated in this study. Each group underwent a 5-week exercise program with adjusted intensity and frequency. Measurement of arm muscle endurance was carried out before and after the intervention using the dipping test to obtain comprehensive quantitative data. Data were analyzed by t-test to see the difference in results between the two groups using SPSS version 26.
Results. The analysis showed pre-test dipping test in the TRX group with an average of 14.67 and a post-test of 21.42 with a difference of 6.75. In the body weight training group, pre-test results averaged 13.25 and post-test 18.58, with a difference of 5.33. The results of the paired t-test showed a significant increase in arm muscle endurance in both groups (p < 0.05).
Conclusion. The TRX training group showed a higher improvement than the body weight training group. TRX training is proven to be more effective in training arm muscle endurance and stability, while body weight training is effective as a simple supporting training method that still has a positive impact on muscle endurance. Combining these two methods is recommended for an optimal pencak silat training program.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG20A80C

Abstract
Introduction. This research examines archery sports class management implementation using the demonstration method (10 steps of basic archery techniques) in archery courses in the PJKR study program, faculty of FIKK UNY) odd semester 2022/2023. The research aims to describe classroom management and examine changes in students’ archery skills after implementing classroom management using the demonstration method (10 basic archery technique steps).
Material and methods. This quantitative research used a descriptive design and pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest data analysis technique with descriptive test and paired sample t-test analysis using SPSS. The research sample at the descriptive stage uses total sampling in classes A, B, C, D, and E, totalling 80 students, with data collection techniques through questionnaires distributed to students. The research sample at the pre-experimental stage used random cluster sampling of 30 students with data collection techniques through an archery test at a distance of 15 meters.
Results. Based on the class management descriptive test results on the planning aspect, the average result is 4.40, and the category is very suitable. The organization of 4.35 categories is very appropriate. The implementation/Instruction 4.37 category is very appropriate. The evaluation/Assessment 4.30 category is very appropriate. On the results of the paired sample test, the sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 so that there is a difference in the average pre-test and post-test after being given the application of class management using the demonstration method (10 basic archery technique steps). The result of the experimental pre-test value is 49. 10, while the experimental post-test was 70.80, there was an increase in the descriptive pre-test with the post-test.
Conclusions. It can be concluded that implementing archery sports class management using the demonstration method (10 basic archery technique steps) can improve the learning outcomes of beginner archery skills among students.

Jihan Faira Zanada, Ahmad Nasrulloh, Sigit Nugroho, Nugroho Susanto – The effect of circuit training program on physical fitness level in volleyball club athletes IPK Kuamang. Fizjoterapia Polska 2023; 23(3); 120-124

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG143IT9

Abstract
The aim of the study is to determine how circuit training affects the fitness of volleyball players. This research employs an experimental approach using a “one-group pretest-posttest design”. The research instrument is the TKJI (Indonesian Physical Freshness Test) tailored for the age group of 16-19 years. The study population comprises volleyball players from the IPK Kuamang club, with a total of 20 individuals. Sampling was conducted using a targeted sampling technique, and the sample consisted of 10 individuals. Data analysis was carried out using the Liliefors normality test and t-test with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results indicated a significant effect of circuit training on physical fitness, as evidenced by an average pre-test score of 12.3 and an average post-test score of 15.2. This conclusion is supported by the finding that t_count = 13.1 > t_table = 1.833 after completing the t-test. Therefore, H₀ is rejected, and H₁ is accepted. Hence, circuit training significantly impacts physical fitness.
