DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG2EF8ZsV

Abstract
Background and Study Aim. Obesity is a metabolic disease characterised by excessive fat accumulation. Indonesia ranks second after Singapore with the largest number of obese adolescents. The study aimed to assess the impact of physical activity, eating behavior, and sleep quality on Body Mass Index (BMI) in adolescents.
Materials and Methods. This study was quantitative, with an ex post facto design. The study included 231 students (136 males, 95 females) aged 16-19 years, each with a Body Mass Index (BMI) ≥ 25.1. Participants were healthy and consented to the study by completing a screening questionnaire. The analysis was performed using regression techniques in the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21 software.
Results. The selected regression model is feasible and demonstrates that physical activity, diet, and sleep quality collectively influence students’ BMI (p-value < 0.001).  Furthermore, the analysis shows that physical activity (p-value < 0.001), diet (p-value = 0.019), and sleep quality (p-value < 0.001) independently affect students’ BMI.
Conclusions. We suggest that schools need to hold counseling programs in collaboration with relevant health workers to conduct counseling with the prevention of malnutrition, especially obesity. Provide additional tasks in the form of physical activity that students must do at home with parental supervision and the results will be reported to the teacher as an additional task value. Parents should also provide supervision of eating behavior and sleep patterns. For future researchers to be able to reveal other variables that can affect student BMI, because our report found only 49.90%.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG2EF8365

Abstract
Boxing athletes must control their emotions and themselves, and regulate their aggressiveness to prevent harming themselves during matches . The purpose of this study was to show whether emotional maturity and self control affect the aggressiveness of boxing athletes. This type of research is correlational. The sample used is boxing athletes from the Special Region of Yogyakarta (n = 65, age 14-22 years) and the subjects have participated in boxing competitions. Sampling was done by nonprobability consecutive sampling. The emotional maturity scale is based on Singh and Bhargava, self control refers to Averill, aggression refers to Buss and Perry (1992). Data analysis was aided by ANOVA (F-test) and t-test. Results. Boxing athletes who will conduct games should receive support to conduct matches in a sporting manner to help athletes regulate their emotions and avoid aggression. For future researchers, it is hoped that they will be able to discuss more about the psychological aspects of boxing athletes, because this research is only limited to the influence of emotional maturity and self control on aggressiveness in boxing athletes.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG2EF83C3

Abstract
This research will first produce a product in the form of a learning module based on blended learning and its benefits to Physical Education (PE) learning outcomes. This research is a research and development model used is ADDIE. Subjects of expert validation using expert lecturers of PE learning with minimum qualifications of Doctoral degrees totaling 7 people. Subjects to determine the effectiveness of the product are 6 elementary schools that are determined by random sampling. Subjects totaled 79 students, of which 41 experimental class students and 38 control class students. The feasibility level of the PE learning module based on blended learning from the evaluation data of experts. Effectiveness testing using t test independent samples test. The results showed that the blended learning-based learning module developed was feasible and effective in improving PE learning outcomes. The module is web-based, utilizes text, audio, video, and multimedia and can be done during self-study. The development of blended learning-based learning modules is a means and motivation for learning in facilitating the learning process in improving student learning outcomes. Other researchers can conduct further research using blended learning-based learning modules covering more aspects and applying them to different learning materials.

Nofiya Wahyu Widy Astutik, Dimyati, Caly Setiawan, Amri Hartanto – Warming up through games in physical education learning. Can it increase students’ learning motivation and cooperation? Fizjoterapia Polska 2023; 23(5); 52-56

DOI: https://doi.org/10.56984/8ZG20B365

Abstract
Background and Study Aim. The importance of warming up before exercising is something that must be done, especially warming up through games. The purpose of the study was to determine whether warm-up through games in physical education learning can increase students’ learning motivation and cooperation.
Materials and Methods. The research design used in this study was a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The total population was 138 students (aged 10-12 years) from six elementary schools, with 67 students from three elementary schools as the experimental group and 71 students from three elementary schools as the control group. Instruments to measure pretest and posttest of learning motivation and cooperation skills used questionnaires with a Likert scale (1-5). The analysis technique used an independent sample t-test with the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21 software.
Results. Based on the results of the analysis, we conclude that warm-up through games is effective in increasing learning motivation (p-value 0.000<0.05) and student cooperation (p-value 0.000<0.05) in Physical Education learning.
Conclusions. We understand that the selection of games in the warm-up is not arbitrary. It depends on the next learning activity and the group of students. It is also decided holistically, taking into account how the various warm-up games complement and support the overall activity.
