Streszczenie Specjaliści ds. zdrowia wprowadzili trening interwałowy o wysokiej intensywności (HIIT) i uznają go za skuteczną interwencję poprawiającą odpowiedzi sercowo-naczyniowe u pacjentów z chorobą wieńcową (CAD). Jednakże istniejące obawy dotyczące bezpieczeństwa HIIT mogą wpływać na jego skuteczność i przestrzeganie interwencji. Obecnie praktycy medyczni zwracają również uwagę na nowatorską metodę znaną jako zdalna ischemiczna prekondycjonizacja (RIPC), która jest prostą techniką wymagającą minimalnego zaangażowania czasowego. Pilne badania są konieczne, aby rozwiązać te kwestie dotyczące najskuteczniejszej interwencji wtórnej. Dlatego naszym celem jest porównanie skuteczności, bezpieczeństwa i przestrzegania HIIT i RIPC w leczeniu pacjentów z CAD. Jest to randomizowane badanie kontrolowane (RCT) dla pacjentów z CAD, powyżej 18 roku życia, którzy ukończyli drugi etap programu rehabilitacji kardiologicznej po hospitalizacji związanej ze zdarzeniami sercowymi lub procedurami związanymi z CAD. Uczestnicy zostaną losowo przydzieleni do jednej z trzech grup. 1. HIIT. 4 x 4 minuty przy 80–95% HRR z 3-minutową aktywną przerwą. 2. RIPC. 4 x 5 minut nadmuchiwania do 220 mmHg z 5-minutowym opróżnianiem. 3. Standardowa opieka. Główne wyniki to zmiana wydolności fizycznej (szczytowy VO2), hs-CRP, profilu lipidowego, składu ciała oraz funkcji lewej komory. Drugorzędne miary wyników to bezpieczeństwo i przestrzeganie interwencji, realizowanej trzy razy w tygodniu przez 12 tygodni. Przewidujemy, że wyniki badań pomogą fizjoterapeutom i trenerom medycznym w projektowaniu najskuteczniejszej interwencji wtórnej, przynoszącej większe korzyści pacjentom z CAD.

Sažetak
Pozadina. Tjelesna kompozicija je važna komponenta u održavanju općeg zdravlja. U kliničkoj praksi i istraživačkim ispitivanjima metoda bioelektrične impedancije (BIA) često se koristi za procjenu tjelesne kompozicije. Cilj. Istražili smo unutardnevnu (u stanju gladovanja i nakon hrane) i međudnevnu (test-retest) pouzdanost i slaganje novog MC-780PMA multifrekventnog analizatora tjelesne kompozicije (Tanita MC-780PMA, Japan) u mjerenju indeksa tjelesne mase, tjelesne masti, nemasne mase, ukupne tjelesne vode, unutarstanične vode, izvanstanične vode, apendikularne skeletne mišićne mase i indeksa skeletne mišićne mase kod zdravih mladih odraslih osoba. Materijal i metode. Trideset zdravih osoba (dob 23.33 ± 4.08 godina, 60% žena) tjelesna kompozicija ocijenjena je tri puta (prije hrane (test 1), 30 minuta nakon hrane istog dana (test 2) i tjedan dana kasnije (test 3)) koristeći Tanita multifrekventni analizator tjelesne kompozicije MC-780PM od strane kvalificiranog fizioterapeuta. Unutardnevna i međudnevna pouzdanost ocijenjena je korištenjem intraklasnog korelacijskog koeficijenta (ICC [3, 1]; dvostruki mješoviti učinci, konzistentnost, pojedinačna mjerenja, slaganje). Osim toga, standardne pogreške mjerenja i najmanje stvarne razlike izračunate su za međudnevna mjerenja za BIA parametre od interesa. Rezultati. Dobra unutardnevna pouzdanost zabilježena je za indeks tjelesne mase (ICC = 0.881) i izvanstaničnu vodu (ICC = 0.850). Izvrsna unutardnevna pouzdanost zabilježena je za preostale parametre (ICC > 0.900). Izvrsna međudnevna pouzdanost zabilježena je za sve odabrane BIA parametre (> 0.900). Zaključak. BIA koristeći Tanita MC-780PM pokazala je dobru do izvrsnu unutardnevnu i međudnevnu pouzdanost i niske pogreške mjerenja pri mjerenju prije i/ili nakon unosa hrane kod zdravih odraslih osoba. Potrebne su buduće studije koje istražuju pouzdanost Tanita MC-780PMA kod osoba s patološkim stanjima koja utječu na tjelesnu kompoziciju.

Sažetak
Ova studija ima za cilj utvrditi odnos životnih navika tijekom razdoblja nove normalnosti s (1) tjelesnim sastavom i (2) razinama kisika u krvi nakon vožnje biciklom s maskom. Ovo istraživanje je multicentrična studija između Indonezije i Malezije, pri čemu su ovdje predstavljeni podaci specifično iz regije DI Yogyakarta u Indoneziji, uključujući analitičko opservacijsko istraživanje s pristupom presječne studije. Studija je uključila 71 ispitanika. Instrumenti korišteni za prikupljanje podataka bili su ponašanje u vezi s fitnesom tijekom pandemije (frekvencija i trajanje vježbanja), antropometrijska mjerenja i mjerenje zasićenosti kisikom nakon vožnje biciklom tijekom pandemije. Tjelesni sastav određen je pomoću formule BMI, uključujući visinu i težinu. Zasićenost kisikom tijekom vožnje biciklom mjerena je pomoću Pulse Oximetera FOX-1(N) tvrtke Elitech Technovision. Najveći postotak vožnje biciklom je dva puta tjedno (42,25%), slijede tri, jedan, peti i četvrti puta tjedno. Većina sudionika vozila je bicikl 120 minuta (35,21%), slijede trajanja od 180 minuta, 60 minuta, 30 minuta i tako dalje. Podaci o zasićenosti kisikom pokazuju da većina ispitanika ima zasićenost kisikom od 98% (47,8% ispitanika), nitko od njih nema 100%, ali 97% zasićenja, 96% zauzima drugu i treću distribuciju. Iz primarnih podataka dobivenih u Indoneziji, samo zasićenost kisikom i trajanje vožnje biciklom pokazali su vrlo značajnu povezanost (p = 0,009), dok druge varijable, kao što su BMI i frekvencija vožnje biciklom, nisu pokazale značajnu korelaciju. Može se zaključiti da postoji značajna veza između trajanja vježbanja, posebno vožnje biciklom, i zasićenosti kisikom kod ispitanika iz Indonezije.

Abstract

Introduction. COPD is a chronic inflammatory disease that constitutes a significant public health problem. It is characterized by not fully reversible, progressive limitation of airflow through the airways. In addition to the harmful pulmonary effects, COPD manifests itself with complications in other body systems, including body composition disorders, which adversely affects patients’ quality of life and prognosis. The objective of this study was to assess the quality of life of patients with COPD and to assess the factors that will affect its deterioration.
Material and methods. The study included 37 patients of the University Hospital at the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Kraków at 8 Skawińska Street, who were diagnosed with COPD according to the GOLD guidelines. In the study group, a personal questionnaire was conducted, anthropometric data was collected, i.e. the Quetelet index was calculated, thigh circumference and skin folds were measured, and the subjective assessment of the quality of life was examined using the SGRQ-C questionnaire and the CAT Test.
Results. Based on the analysis of the collected materials, it was shown that the average assessment of the quality of life in the study population was at a low level of 61.8 points on the SGRQ-C scale. There was a large variation in the assessment of HRQoL depending on the stage of the disease. The best result, amounting to 23.0 points, was achieved by patients in stage 1, and the worst – 81.6 points. – patients in stage 4 according to GOLD guidelines. Among the main determinants of the quality of life in the study group, in addition to the degree of airway obstruction, there were: high intensity of clinical symptoms, such as cough, shortness of breath or expectoration of secretions, low body weight and the number of comorbidities. Conclusions. It has been shown that the loss of fat-free body mass and systemic complications are factors that significantly reduce the quality of life, and patients with fewer comorbidities and with increased BMI score better on the SGRQ-C scale. It has been proven that the progression of the disease contributes to the exclusion of patients from active social life and causes many mental problems. It was established that patients with COPD should be covered by multidisciplinary care and a special training program in order to prevent or delay the onset of systemic complications, which significantly worsen the patients’ quality of life

Abstract
Objective. The objective of this study was to identify the correlation between body composition of children with cerebral palsy and the degree of spasticity in the muscles of the lower limbs.
Material and methods. The study included a group of 59 independently walking children aged 8 to 16 with spastic diplegia. The control group included 59 children without central movement disorders – students at Primary School No. 25 in Sosnowiec. The research included: 1) assessment of body composition and its components using the TANITA MC-780 S MA scale; 2) assessment of the degree of spasticity according to the modified Ashworth scale; 3) calculations of BMI indices in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and BMI OLAF developed by the Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw.
Results. The most severe spasticity, both in the right and left lower limbs, was observed in the extensors of the ankle joint. In turn, the mildest spasticity was observed in the group of flexors of the knee joint of the right and left lower limbs. The greater the degree of spasticity in the muscles of the lower limbs, the greater the deficit in fat-free mass and muscle mass in the lower limbs.
Conclusions. Children with CP have deficits in terms of muscle mass. The deficit of muscle tissue depends on the degree of spasticity of the proximal muscle groups of the lower limbs.

Abstract
Introduction. The goal of our research was to explore the dependency between the body composition, broadly understood, and the type of body construction in young women. Material and methods. The study group consisted of 212 female students from three Bydgoszcz colleges, ranging in age from 18 to 25. the research was performed in the years 2000-2001 in the Department of Anthropology at the Academy of Medicine in Bydgoszcz. The somatotype of the subject was specified according to the method proposed by B. Heath and L. Carter, and the body was tested by segmental bioelectrical impedance analysis (SBIA). Results. In this study the higher correlation coefficient was achieved between the endomorphic component and fatty tissue (in kg and in percentage), fat distribution, and the BMI and Rohrer indices. Conclusions. There is a very diverse codependency between the selected body components and the type of body structure. However, the highest correlation occurs between the endomorphic component of body structure and the fatty tissue content, and a negative correlation between the ectomorphic component and the tested aspects of fat storage.

Abstract

Background. The purpose of our research was to compare the body constitution and composition of female physical education students at the Bydgoszcz Academy to those of female students of other Bydgoszcz colleges. Material and methods. The study involved 52 female students of physical education at the Bydgoszcz Academy and 160 female students at the Academy of Medicine and the College of Hotel Management and Tourism in Bydgoszcz. The tests were performed in 2000-2001 at the Department of Anthropology of the Bydgoszcz Academy of Medicine. The somatotype of the subjects was determined by the method of B. Heath and L. Carter, and the body composition was tested by segmental bioelectrical impedance analysis (SBIA). Results. The physical education students were taller, had larger upper arm circumference without fat tissue, and showed a significantly smaller proportion of the endomorphic component in body constitution, in comparison to female students from the other colleges. In terms of body composition, also, apart from the percentage content of fat tissue, the physical education students achieved significantly higher values in the majority of the tested parameters. Conclusion. Female physical education students, as opposed to female students from the remaining colleges, were characterized by greater muscle mass, with a significantly smaller degree of body fat.
